Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative Lead to oversee front-end duties including reception, call center, referrals and authorizations under the supervision of the Clinic Manager.

The role provides training and coaching for junior staff, serves as a resource across departments such as primary care, OBGYN and Express clinic, and participates in improvement initiatives affecting the practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of related experience with at least one year in supervision.
• Recent experience in multiple clinics (OBGYN, Optometry, Neurology, Dermatology, etc.).
• Experience handling payments for contacts, authorization and cosmetic procedures.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

• Oversee front-end duties including reception, call center, referrals and authorizations.
• Provide leadership, training and coaching for junior staff.
• Act as a departmental resource across primary care, OBGYN and Express clinic.
• Initiate and participate in improvement efforts affecting the practice.
