Job summary

Genesis Hospitality and Dining LLC in Princeton, NJ is seeking a Pastry Cook to lead pastry production, finishing desserts, and a la carte line work in Chez Alice Princeton. The role requires exemplary baking skills, leadership, and the ability to work weekdays, nights, weekends and holidays.

The Pastry Cook will handle daily requisitions, pastry production, and shop setup, maintain sanitation, and collaborate with chefs to ensure high-quality pastry items and inventories are managed efficiently.

Qualifications

• Exemplary baking and pastry skills and knowledge.
• Able to follow recipes or chef's directions without supervision.
• Demonstrate advanced ability in all food cookery techniques.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Fluent in English and SERV Safe certification required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Produce dessert and bakery products while following recipes and/or chef's directions consistently and efficiently without supervision.
• Maintain clean and sanitary work environment and station on a daily basis.
• Maintain standards of good personal hygiene and proper uniform guidelines.
• Project positive, self-motivated & professional attitude always.
• Work safely with and around equipment with moving parts, knives, hot surfaces & steam.
• Consistently check quality of food items needed for daily mise en place, practice.
