Job summary

The Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Company is seeking a full-time Pastry Cook to produce dessert and bakery items, maintain clean stations, and lead a pastry team. You will follow recipes, ensure high standards of quality, and assist in guiding Pastry Cook 3s and interns across daily tasks.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of scratch bakery experience, a Baking & Pastry credential, and ServSafe certification. This is a union position with evening/weekend shifts and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum of 3 years high product scratch bakery experience in an upscale/casual restaurant environment.
• Degree or Certificate in Baking and Pastry Arts; 2 years related work experience may be substituted for education.
• Must obtain ServSafe certification.

Responsibilities

• Produce dessert and bakery products following recipes and chef directions consistently and efficiently.
• Maintain clean and sanitary work environment and station daily.
• Maintain standards of good personal hygiene and proper uniform guidelines.
• Demonstrate leadership skills within your work group or station partners.
• Prepare and maintain mise en place on station for the required number of covers.
• Write personal prep lists with regard to food and labor costs.
• Able to manage the stations and the needs of the pastry shop in the absence of the Executive/Assistant Pastry Chef.
• Able to train and direct Pastry Cook 3, Pastry Interns and Part-Time Pastry Cooks.
