Job summary

City of Stockton is seeking a Supervising Parking Enforcement Officer to lead field staff, enforce parking regulations, and coordinate with City departments. The role is non-exempt and involves handling difficult customer service situations with the public.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED with three years of progressively responsible parking enforcement or related experience, plus background and safety training as conditions of employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and 3 years of progressively responsible experience in parking, code and/or security enforcement in a public setting.
• Customer service lead and supervisory experience is desirable.
• Must pass a background investigation which includes fingerprinting.
• Must be able to pass vehicle safety training as a condition of continued employment.

Responsibilities

• Under direction, plans, organizes, assigns, supervises, and reviews the work of Parking Enforcement Officers; performs related work as assigned.
• Supervises, schedules, evaluates, trains, and dispatches field personnel; coordinates parking enforcement activities with other City departments.
• Maintains records pertaining to parking enforcement routes, violations, and related meters.
• Prepares reports and maintains statistics on on-street parking related subjects.
