The City of Hawaiian Gardens Public Safety Department seeks two part-time Parking Enforcement Officers to patrol city streets, enforce parking regulations, and issue citations under the supervision of the Public Safety Director.
Officers will assist with the removal of abandoned vehicles, maintain activity and citation logs, and respond to parking- and traffic-related concerns while providing courteous service to the public.
The Public Safety Department is seeking two (2) part-time motivated and experienced Parking Enforcement Officers to patrol the City, enforce parking regulations, and support the safe and efficient flow of traffic. Under the general supervision of the Public Safety Director, these positions serve as leads in the field, issue parking citations, assist with the removal of abandoned vehicles, respond to parking- and traffic-related concerns, and maintain accurate activity and citation records. The ideal candidates will provide excellent customer service to the public while ensuring compliance with City parking laws and ordinances.
FLSA: Non-Exempt.

A combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of the requisite knowledge, skill and abilities. Minimum requirement is the possession of a High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent; AND at least three (3) years of responsible work experience at the level of Parking Control Officer for a City is required. Must possess a valid California Class C Driver's License.

The essential duties of this position are performed mainly outdoors and at times in a standard office environment.
