Job summary

The University of California, Santa Cruz is seeking a Lead Parking Representative to serve as field lead, train staff, and supervise Senior Parking Representatives while ensuring campus parking rules are followed. The role combines field enforcement with light administrative duties on a daily basis.

The position requires strong judgment, clear communication, and the ability to plan coverage for special events, while maintaining safety and professionalism on campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and/or experience.
• Parking enforcement experience including inspecting vehicles for permits and issuing citations.
• Knowledge of operating a handheld two-way radio and communicating effectively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, email, and online calendaring.

Responsibilities

• Assigns and oversees the work of Senior Parking Representatives.
• Trains new employees in all aspects of the job.
• Assists with scheduling for daily routines and special events to ensure adequate coverage.
• Monitors work for productivity, thoroughness, and accuracy in public contact, booting and towing.
• Assists in planning and implementing new phases of parking operations.
