Valiant Technologies LLC is seeking an experienced Lead Firewall Engineer / Cybersecurity Engineer in the US. The role focuses on enterprise firewall management, network security, and security operations across AWS and Azure.

You will lead security projects, define policies, and mentor teams while coordinating with infrastructure and cloud groups to strengthen defenses and incident response capabilities.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience with a focus on network and firewall security.
• Hands-on administration of Palo Alto Networks firewalls in large enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of firewall policies, rule reviews, configuration changes, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs, WAN/LAN, and network security architecture.
• Experience with IDS/IPS, WAF, SIEM, EDR, DLP, and CASB.
• Experience securing AWS and Azure environments.
• Knowledge of vulnerability management, risk assessments, threat analysis, incident response.
• Scripting using Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Knowledge of NIST, CIS Controls, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, ISO 27001.
• Ability to create security diagrams and runbooks.
• Ability to lead security projects and collaborate with infra/net/cloud teams.
