Job summary

Artifintech seeks a Lead Firewall Engineer / Cybersecurity Engineer in New Jersey. You will lead firewall infrastructure, enforce security controls, and drive enterprise security initiatives across on‑prem and cloud environments.

The role requires 6+ years in cybersecurity engineering with Palo Alto firewall expertise, strong networking knowledge, and experience in AWS/Azure security operations.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of cybersecurity engineering experience with focus on network and firewall security.
• Hands-on administration of Palo Alto Networks firewalls in large enterprises.
• Strong knowledge of firewall policies, rule reviews, and security architecture.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VPNs, WAN/LAN, and network security.
• Experience with IDS/IPS, WAF, SIEM, EDR, DLP, and CASB.
• Experience supporting security operations in AWS and Azure.
• Knowledge of vulnerability management, risk assessments, threat analysis and incident response.
• Scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Knowledge of NIST, CIS Controls, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, ISO 27001.

Responsibilities

• Lead network and perimeter security engineering initiatives.
• Manage and strengthen enterprise firewall infrastructure.
• Collaborate with infra/network/cloud teams and provide technical guidance.
• Prepare security architecture diagrams and runbooks.
• Support security operations and incident response efforts.
