Qualifications

• No formal education required; six months of experience as a Package Handler with FedEx Ground preferred.
• Ability to train multiple peer Package Handlers simultaneously.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions regarding work duties and safety methods.
• Ability to discern numbers and information to sort packages correctly.

Responsibilities

• Trains new Package Handlers on unloading, loading, palletizing, carrying, smalls handling, SWAK, and non-conveyable packages.
• Provides training to other PHs as needed and shares feedback on proper techniques.
• Reinforces safety standards among peers and communicates operational conditions to managers.
• Updates managers on sort conditions to aid efficiency decisions.
• Loads/unloads and sorts packages while training others, using hand-to-surface methods.
