Job summary

Apploi is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide direct patient care and lead the therapy team in a rehabilitation setting in Oxnard, CA. The role includes evaluating patients, creating treatment plans, and documenting progress with adherence to regulatory requirements.

You will supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and aides, communicate with families and physicians, and contribute to interdisciplinary care. A $5,000 signing bonus is offered, paid in increments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Occupational Therapy evaluation and treatments.
• Ability to supervise and direct assistants and aides.
• Understanding of physical modalities used in Occupational Therapy.
• Knowledge of prosthetic/orthotic devices and ambulatory aids.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to work with all patient groups.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and support activities in the therapy department.
• Evaluate patients and develop treatment plans with physician input.
• Document services in medical records and billing data.
• Supervise OT assistants and aides in direct patient care.
• Educate families and nursing staff on follow-up programs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for patient care.
