Job summary

Nestlé USA is hiring a Lead Operator to manage daily production operations on the 2nd shift, supporting a team behind beloved brands. You will ensure safety, quality, and efficiency while mentoring colleagues and coordinating with other departments.

The role requires prior machine operation experience, strong English skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. On-site work with overtime flexibility is expected.

Qualifications

• Prior machine operator experience required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or factory setting preferred.
• Comfortable using computers, tablets, and other digital tools.
• Able to read, write, and understand English.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, climb, and move throughout your shift.
• Flexible to work overtime based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations and manage the department in the absence of a supervisor or manager.
• Assign tasks and support team members to meet production goals.
• Operate, set up, clean, and adjust machinery independently and with a team.
• Monitor and control process parameters to ensure accuracy and traceability.
• Perform quality checks and in-process inspections.
• Complete data entry using paper forms, computers, or tablets.
• Train and mentor colleagues on procedures, safety, and equipment.
• Identify and elevate issues to supervisors when needed.
• Support overflow tasks and assist across departments.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Adhere to GMPs and SOPs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
