Job summary

Nestlé USA is seeking a Lead Operator for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:00PM-11:30PM) at our Bohemia, NY facility. You will lead daily operations, guide the team, and ensure safe, efficient production of our beloved products.

The role requires prior machine operator experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work with GMPs and SOPs while mentoring colleagues. A 4–5 day onboarding is included, with a competitive pay of $22.35/hr plus a $1.50/hr differential for second shift.

Qualifications

• Prior machine operator experience is required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 2+ years in a manufacturing or factory setting preferred.
• Able to read, write, and understand English.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, bend, climb and move throughout shift.
• Flexible to work overtime based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations and manage the department in the absence of a supervisor or manager.
• Assign tasks and support team members to meet production goals.
• Operate, set up, clean, and adjust machinery independently and with a team.
• Monitor and control process parameters to ensure accuracy and traceability.
• Perform quality checks and in-process inspections.
• Complete data entry using paper forms, computers, or tablets.
• Train and mentor colleagues on procedures, safety, and equipment.
• Identify and elevate issues to supervisors when needed.
• Support overflow tasks and assist across departments.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Adhere to GMPs and SOPs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
