Job summary

BTS is seeking an experienced events manager to oversee onsite operations, coordinate with the culinary and Sales teams, and ensure flawless delivery at large corporate and social events in the San Diego area. The role requires strong leadership, planning, and hands-on execution across all event phases.

The ideal candidate will manage and develop Event Managers, maintain inventory, and coordinate with the Operations leadership to meet client expectations during setup, service, and load-out.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing onsite events.
• Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders including kitchen staff and sales managers.
• Ability to manage event staff and develop junior Event Managers.

Responsibilities

• Walk-through and layout verification with the client and FOH team at each event.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the event and ensure timeline adherence.
• Oversee setup, service, and load-out; manage post-event notes and evaluations.
• Develop training and mentoring for Event Managers I–III at events.
• Schedule and coordinate staff across shifts based on event calendar.
