Job summary

Ames Construction is seeking a Structures Superintendent to lead on-site coordination of foundations, formwork, rebar, concrete, and structural steel for a heavy civil project. You will supervise self-perform crews and subcontractors, ensuring safety, quality and schedule adherence.

Located in Hyrum, UT with travel to project locations nationwide, this safety-sensitive role requires strong leadership, proficiency with scheduling tools, and the ability to read structural drawings and shop

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; construction/CM degree preferred.
• 7+ years structural/concrete construction with supervisory experience.
• Proven ability to read structural drawings and shop drawings.
• Strong knowledge of formwork, rebar, concrete, and steel erection.
• Experience with scheduling tools and field/project management software.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily structural field operations with self-perform crews.
• Coordinate sequencing of foundations, formwork, rebar, concrete and steel.
• Interpret drawings and enforce contract specs and shop drawings.
• Oversee concrete placement, formwork inspection, rebar verification, curing.
• Manage material deliveries and crane/rigging logistics.
• Develop look-ahead schedules for structural scopes.
• Lead safety programs, toolbox talks, and JHAs.
• Mentor field crews and drive accountability.
