Job summary

Ames Construction in Farmington, NM seeks a Structures Superintendent to lead on-site coordination of foundations, concrete, formwork, rebar, structural steel, precast, and bridge structures, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget compliance.

You will direct self-perform crews and subcontractors, align with project management, review drawings and specs, and enforce quality and OSHA standards across federal projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/trade certification or degree preferred.
• 7+ years structural/concrete construction with 3+ years in supervision.
• Experience across cast-in-place concrete, formwork, rebar, structural steel, bridges.
• Ability to read structural drawings and shop drawings; familiarity with codes.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification; strong leadership and communication.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily structural field operations and sequencing.
• Enforce safety, quality control, and compliance with specs and codes.
• Develop short-interval schedules and monitor labor productivity.
• Coordinate with PM, engineers, and subcontractors; manage daily field reports.
• Mentor crews, manage assignments, and foster a collaborative work environment.
