Job summary

Nelson Builders in Holland, MI is seeking an experienced Remodeling Production Manager to own residential remodeling projects from planning to completion.

This leadership-driven field role will manage crews, coordinate subcontractors, and stay hands-on with carpentry to keep schedules on track.You will oversee daily field operations, build schedules, enforce quality standards, and drive safe, efficient project execution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of residential construction experience with leadership responsibility.
• Proven ability to manage schedules, people, and multiple projects.
• Field leadership background (foreman/production manager).
• Strong hands-on carpentry skills (finish and rough framing).
• Clear, effective communication with clients, crews, and trade partners.
• Michigan Builder's License preferred or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Lead residential remodeling projects through every phase of construction.
• Direct the field crew's daily production.
• Coordinate trade partners to protect schedule and quality standards.
• Build and maintain project schedules using JobTread.
• Conduct regular jobsite visits to oversee progress, quality, and safety.
• Uphold safety standards and jobsite compliance across all projects.
• Train and mentor carpenters and field staff.
• Serve as the primary field leader driving production execution.
• Act as a professional point of contact for homeowners throughout each project.
• Step into hands-on carpentry work as needed to keep jobs on track.
