Job summary

Kokosing is seeking an experienced Project Scheduler for the onsite Soo project in Sault Ste. Marie, MI.

The role involves planning and scheduling the $1.8B New Lock project for the US Army Corps of Engineers, generating forecasts, and interfacing with the project team to monitor and update schedules. Responsibilities include leading schedulers, updating reports, and preparing detailed schedule narratives, with emphasis on critical path analysis and government submittals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration preferred.
• Ideal candidates will have 8+ years of experience in Project Scheduling, preferably in heavy civil and heavy industrial construction.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Oracle Primavera Cloud.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience developing project schedules and performing critical path, earned value, and schedule impact analysis is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of schedulers to create baseline schedules for new options and maintain the working schedule.
• Ensure updates and reports conform to contract specifications for government submittals.
• Create and maintain a comprehensive schedule narrative with each update.
• Prepare project progress reports and integrate subcontractor look-ahead schedules.
• Review contractor schedules for accuracy and logic and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Report schedule status weekly/monthly to all stakeholders.
• Facilitate monthly schedule reviews with the Government.
• Assist in maintaining, updating, and monitoring the CPM schedule.
• Maintain project schedules and alert the team to potential issues.
• Perform Time Impact Analyses (TIA).
• Prepare a variety of reports such as progress charts and labor curves.
