Job summary

Kokosing is seeking an Electrical Project Manager for the New Lock at the Soo Project in Sault Ste. Marie, MI.

The EPM will lead all electrical scope activities, coordinate with government representatives, design teams, and subcontractors, and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery of complex electrical infrastructure for a mission-critical facility. The role requires onsite leadership, strict adherence to federal standards (USACE, NAVFAC, DoD), NFPA 70, EM-385, and FAR, with responsibility from

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in electrical project management, construction or engineering
• 5+ years in large industrial, power, or federal contracting projects
• Experience with USACE/NAVFAC/DoD or Federal Agencies is a plus
• Previous working relationship with IBEW is a plus

Responsibilities

• Manage all electrical aspects of the project lifecycle from design through commissioning and closeout
• Develop and maintain electrical project schedules, budgets, and procurement plans
• Coordinate with general contractor leadership, field teams, and electrical subcontractors
• Ensure compliance with federal codes (NFPA 70, NFARS, EM-385) and safety requirements
• Review electrical designs and submittals; coordinate with engineering teams on power distribution, lighting, and controls
• Procure major electrical equipment and oversee subcontractors and vendors
• Support field teams during installation and participate in coordination meetings
• Assist commissioning activities and deliver as-built documentation and training for government personnel
