Job summary

Family Resource Home Care in Eugene, Oregon is seeking a Lead Caregiver to support our clients on critical shifts, including fill-ins, training, and new client onboarding. You must be available on short notice within assigned times and within our service areas.

Lead Caregivers earn $23/hr with on-call scheduling, comprehensive training, and 24/7 branch support. Applicants must meet state background requirements and have caregiving experience in home care settings.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to pass a state and national background check.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and clean driving record.
• Active NAC/CNA or HCA license preferred but not required.
• One year experience in home care, AFH, hospital or nursing home setting.
• Ability to lift to 50lbs.
• Smart phone with AxisCare app.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as cleaning, laundry, dishes, and meal prep.
• Provide companionship through daily activities and hobbies.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Transport clients to errands or appointments.
• Assist with gait belt or Hoyer transfers.
• Monitor and report client condition.

Lead Caregiver Summary

Our Lead Caregivers are experienced individuals who help with our most critical shifts. This includes but is not limited to fill-ins, new clients and training shifts with new caregivers. The primary responsibilities include the Caregiver Job Duties listed below. Our Lead Caregivers must be available to work on short notice during their assigned availability times and with any FRHC clients within your branches service areas!

Caregiver Job Duties

Our caregivers support their clients in activities of daily living such as (but not limited to):

• Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.)
• Cooking and/or serving meals
• Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom
• Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies
• Transporting clients for errands or appointments in your car
• Assisting with gait belt or Hoyer transfers
• Monitoring and reporting on their condition

Additional Information

Oregon only - If you have not previously completed the state-required 8-hour Home Care Pulse caregiver training, you will be required to complete the training along with the nurse-led medication training before you can work with clients. You will be paid to complete both trainings.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older

• Ability to lift to 50lbs
• Ability to provide more than companionship care and work with different care levels
• Smart phone with ability to download and utilize the AxisCare app
• WA Only – Current valid CEs if you are an HCA
