Job summary

Family Resource Home Care is looking for a Lead Caregiver in Washington to support our clients with daily living activities, companionship, and client supervision on a float/on-call schedule. You will cover shifts, train new caregivers, and step in for fill-ins across branches within service areas.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to pass state and national background checks.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and clean driving record.
• One year of home care, AFH, hospital or nursing home experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Smartphone with AxisCare app.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming).
• Provide companionship and support daily activities and hobbies.
• Transport clients to appointments and run errands as needed.
• Assist with meal preparation and household tasks.
• Monitor client condition and report changes to supervisors.
• Support with transfers using gait belt or Hoyer when required.

Lead Caregiver Summary

Our Lead Caregivers are experienced individuals who help with our most critical shifts. This includes but is not limited to fill-ins, new clients and training shifts with new caregivers. The primary responsibilities include the Caregiver Job Duties listed below. Our Lead Caregivers must be available to work on short notice during their assigned availability times with clients in any of their assigned branches service areas.

Lead Caregiver Schedule:

Float Schedule - dependent on shift availability, would be on call on available days

Lead Caregiver Pay Rate:

Pay starts at $23.50/hr.

Caregiver Job Duties

Our caregivers support their clients in activities of daily living such as (but not limited to):

• Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.)
• Cooking and/or serving meals
• Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom
• Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies
• Transporting clients for errands or appointments in your car
• Assisting with gait belt or Hoyer transfers
• Monitoring and reporting on their condition

Additional Information

• Our hiring process is fast and simple! If hired, you will be scheduled for orientation at your branch. Once you have completed onboarding, orientation, and training, you can start working with clients!
• Washington only - If you do not have a current HCA or CNA license, you will be required to enroll in our HCA training program we offer (due to state requirements). You will be able to complete the training while working and will have 120 days to complete it.
• Oregon only - If you have not previously completed the state-required 8-hour Home Care Pulse caregiver training, you will be required to complete the training along with the nurse-led medication training before you can work with clients. You will be paid to complete both trainings!

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to pass a state and national background check
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and clean driving record
• Active state NAC/CNA or HCA license preferred but not required
• One year experience in home care, AFH, hospital or nursing home setting
• Ability to lift to 50lbs
• Ability to provide more than companionship care and work with different care levels
• Smart phone with ability to download and utilize the AxisCare app
• WA Only - Current valid CEs if you are an HCA
