Job summary

Family Resource Home Care in Grants Pass, Oregon is seeking an experienced Lead Caregiver to support clients in their homes. You will cover critical shifts, help with onboarding new caregivers, and assist with training while being available on short notice within your assigned area.

This role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass state and, if applicable, national background checks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and able to pass background checks.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and clean driving record.
• Experience in home care or related healthcare settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Caregivers handle critical shifts, fills, new client onboarding and training.
• Available to work on short notice within assigned service areas.

Lead Caregiver Summary

Our Lead Caregivers are experienced individuals who help with our most critical shifts. This includes but is not limited to fill-ins, new clients and training shifts with new caregivers. The primary responsibilities include the Caregiver Job Duties listed below. Our Lead Caregivers must be available to work on short notice during their assigned availability times with clients in any of their assigned branches service areas.

Our Grants Pass location is NEW and growing! We are looking to one lead caregiver who will work with our clients in their homes.

*Must be willing to work with clients in Josephine County including Hugo, Merlin, Grants Pass, Wilderville, Murphy and Rogue River.

Lead Caregiver Schedule:

Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

Lead Caregiver Pay Rate:

$23 per hour

Caregiver Job Duties

Our caregivers support their clients in activities of daily living such as (but not limited to):

• Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.)
• Cooking and/or serving meals
• Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom
• Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies
• Transporting clients for errands or appointments in your car
• Assisting with gait belt or Hoyer transfers
• Monitoring and reporting on their condition

Additional Information

• Oregon only - If you have not previously completed the state-required 8-hour Home Care Pulse caregiver training, you will be required to complete the training along with the nurse-led medication training before you can work with clients. You will be paid to complete both trainings!

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to pass a state and national background check
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance and clean driving record
• Active state NAC/CNA or HCA license preferred but not required
• One year experience in home care, AFH, hospital or nursing home setting
• Ability to lift to 50lbs
• Ability to provide more than companionship care and work with different care levels
• Smart phone with ability to download and utilize the AxisCare app
• WA Only - Current valid CEs if you are an HCA
