Job summary

Family Resource Home Care is seeking Lead Caregivers in Washington for on-call shifts, including fill-ins, new client support, and caregiver training. Availability on short notice within branch service areas is required.

The position pays $23.75 per hour and requires a valid driver’s license, background checks, and at least one year of home care experience. CNA/HCA license is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to pass a state and national background check.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and clean driving record.
• Active NAC/CNA or HCA license preferred but not required.
• One year of home care, AFH, hospital or nursing home experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living.
• Provide companionship and supervision.
• Support clients with transfers and mobility.
• Transport clients for errands or appointments as needed.
• Monitor client condition and communicate changes to supervisor.

Lead Caregiver Summary

Our Lead Caregivers are experienced individuals who help with our most critical shifts. This includes but is not limited to fill-ins, new clients and training shifts with new caregivers. The primary responsibilities include the Caregiver Job Duties listed below.

Our Lead Caregivers must be available to work on short notice during their assigned availability times with any FRHC clients within your branches service areas.

Lead Caregiver Pay Rate: $23.75 hourly

Schedule: ON CALL - Thursday to Friday 8a-8p (this is a part-time position)

Locations On-Call Caregiver Covers:

• Shelton, Yelm, Olympia, Tumwater, and Lacey. Must be able to drive to call for call-out needs.

Caregiver Job Duties

Our caregivers support their clients in activities of daily living such as (but not limited to):

• Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.)
• Cooking and/or serving meals
• Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom
• Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies
• Transporting clients for errands or appointments in your car
• Assisting with gait belt or Hoyer transfers
• Monitoring and reporting on their condition

Additional Information

• Our hiring process is fast and simple!
• If hired, you will be scheduled for orientation at your branch. Once you have completed onboarding, orientation, and training, you can start working with clients!
• Washington only – If you do not have a current HCA or CNA license, you will be required to enroll in our HCA training program we offer (due to state requirements). You will be able to complete the training while working and will have 120 days to complete it.

Requirements

• 18 years of age or older
• Ability to pass a state and national background check
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and clean driving record
• Active state NAC/CNA or HCA license preferred but not required
• One year experience in home care, AFH, hospital or nursing home setting
• Ability to lift to 50lbs
• Ability to provide more than companionship care and work with different care levels
• Smart phone with ability to download and utilize the AxisCare app
• WA Only – Current valid CEs if you are an HCA
