Job summary

The Rehab Centre in Richland Post Acute is seeking a part-time Certified Occupational Therapist (COTA) to evaluate residents, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with physicians and staff to promote independence.

You will supervise aides and COTAs, ensure compliant documentation, provide resident education, and contribute to rehab program development while maintaining licensure and continuing education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy is required; Master’s or Doctorate preferred.
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state; COTA license as applicable.
• Proficient with health records systems (Net Health, Point Click Care).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine OT needs, mobility potential, and rehab goals.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans.
• Supervise COTAs and aides in resident care.
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in medical records.
• Communicate progress with physicians, nursing staff, residents, and families.
• Educate residents and families on home exercise programs.
• Facilitate ordering of durable medical equipment as needed.
• Ensure infection control and safety in the treatment environment.
• Participate in quality assurance and rehab program development.
• Maintain licensure and pursue continuing education.
