Job summary

SteveRecruiter, LLC in Austin, TX is seeking a Head Programmer/CNC Programmer with deep Siemens NX CAM expertise and 5+ years in aerospace or defense milling. The role leads the CAD-to-CAM team, builds the programming standard for automated 5-axis cells, and programs complex parts personally.

You will collaborate with Automation Engineers on tooling and workholding, shape probing stacks for lights-out production, and mentor junior programmers. ITAR compliance and US work authorization required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in CNC programming for aerospace/defense.
• Experience with Siemens NX CAM and 5-axis machining.

Responsibilities

• Lead the CAD-to-CAM team and build the programming standard for automated 5-axis CNC cells.
• Program complex aerospace/defense parts personally when needed.
• Train programmers, define processes, and build probing stacks for lights-out production.
