Job summary

The Recruiting Hive is seeking an expert Head Programmer/CNC Programmer in Austin, TX, onsite. The role demands 5+ years in Siemens NX CAM, leading a CAD-to-CAM team, and building a programming standard for automated 5-axis cells. Ideal candidates have exposure to aerospace/defense parts, post processors, and hands-on programming.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Siemens NX CAM and CNC programming.
• Expertise with 5-axis CNC machining and aerospace/defense parts.
• Must be a US citizen or permanent resident (ITAR compliant).

Responsibilities

• Lead the CAD-to-CAM team and build the programming standard from scratch for automated 5-axis CNC cells.
• Program complex aerospace components personally and train programmers.
• Define processes and develop probing stacks for lights-out production.
• Collaborate with tooling/workholding and software teams to automate CAM workflows.
