South St. Paul Public Schools seeks a Nutrition Services Assistant/Lead Cashier. You will serve as Lead Cashier, handle daily cash drawers, deposits, and reconciliation while preparing meals per nutrition guidelines. The role covers serving, dish room duties, and HACCP-compliant safety practices.

The position requires a High School diploma or GED, with ServSafe certification and a Food Manager license within six months. Strong teamwork, reliability, and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma or GED.
• ServSafe certification and Food Manager license within 6 months of acceptance.
• Ability to work well with others and handle high-volume scratch cooking.
• Proficiency with POS, email, internet, and Google Docs/Sheets.
• Punctual and reliable attendance is required.

Responsabilités

• Act as Lead Cashier and manage daily cash drawers.
• Reconcile cash drawers and prepare daily bank deposits.
• Verify and claim meals per federal guidelines and manage ala carte cashiering.
• Prepare, assemble and serve foods according to nutrition guidelines and recipes.
• Maintain dish room hygiene and HACCP-compliant safety procedures.
• Rotate through serving, cashiering, prep, and dish duties as needed.
• Represent a positive customer relations environment.
