Job summary

Galen College of Nursing in Houston, TX, is seeking a Simulation Lab Manager to oversee and coordinate the nursing simulation program. You will work with Directors of Clinical Learning and campus leaders to ensure high‑quality, standardized simulation experiences across all programs.

The role emphasizes training faculty and technicians, maintaining simulation labs and equipment, and advancing evidence‑based practices in line with HSSOBP standards.

Qualifications

• Unencumbered RN licensure in the applicable state.
• MS in nursing from an accredited institution; CHSE or eligibility.
• 3+ years RN clinical experience; 2+ years teaching in simulation preferred.
• Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise the general operation of the simulation laboratory.
• Assist faculty and students with simulation equipment and experiences.
• May serve as faculty substitute in simulation sessions as needed.
• Collaborate with campus leadership for equipment training and inventory.
• Maintain simulation lab equipment and supplies; coordinate third‑party support.
• Schedule and manage clinical learning labs, open labs, and exams.
• Provide orientation and training for faculty and technicians per standards.
• Oversee hiring, training, and mentoring of simulation staff.
• Facilitate ongoing professional development in simulation use.
• Maintain inventory systems and report on resources.
• Advise curriculum changes based on research and needs.
• Communicate policy changes and participate in course committee meetings.
