Galen College of Nursing is seeking a Simulation Technician to support and enhance simulation experiences for all learners, working with program faculty to meet CSLOs across programs. The role involves setting up AV/IT systems, maintaining simulators, and assisting users in a collaborative learning environment.

The position emphasizes knowledge of adult learning theory, attention to detail, and the ability to work across diverse groups while ensuring a safe and well-organized simulation center.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or associate degree from an accredited institution.
• Affinity for a technical role (IT, A/V, electronics) and willingness to learn.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrate working knowledge of common audio-visual and IT hardware and software.
• Provide general technical support and troubleshooting for AV and IT systems.
• Set up, operate, and store audiovisual and IT equipment.
• Maintain simulators, task trainers and other simulation equipment.
• Prepare simulation environments to represent clinical settings.
• Create moulage to model physiologic responses to scenarios.
• Maintain stock and ensure proper storage and safety standards.
• Support Simulation Center users with instructional media and equipment.
