Job summary
Evolv Technologies, Inc. in Waltham, MA is seeking a Senior NPI Engineer to lead manufacturing introductions for complex new hardware from early development to production ramp.
You will work with Product Development, Quality, Supply Chain, and CM partners to ensure designs are manufacturable, testable, and scalable for production. You will own NPI leadership, drive build-readiness, lead DFM/DFA reviews, and guide cross-functional teams to closure of open actions, while mentoring other engineers
Qualifications
- History of launching complex hardware products.
- Hands-on NPI and Manufacturing Engineering experience.
- Experience with contract manufacturers through product introduction and ramp.
- Leadership in DFM/DFA.
- Experience planning prototype, engineering, validation, pilot, and production builds.
- Identify manufacturing risks and drive corrective actions to closure.
- Mentor other engineers in launch strategy and risk management.
Responsibilities
- Lead NPI for complex hardware and integrated-system product introductions.
- Develop manufacturing launch plans from development through ramp.
- Define build objectives, entrance/exit criteria, deliverables, and readiness requirements.
- Lead manufacturing readiness reviews before major builds and releases.
- Coordinate activities across Engineering, Quality, Sourcing, Operations, suppliers, and CM.
