Job summary

Lenovo is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to drive design-for-manufacturability, process development, and supplier collaboration in a high-mix environment. You will partner with design, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to introduce new products and optimize production.

Strong CAD/PLM skills, Lean methods, and RC analysis are essential. You will design and validate processes, tooling, and fixtures, ensuring compliance with safety standards and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years in manufacturing, process development, or NPI.
• Knowledge of machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly.
• Experience with contract manufacturers and high-mix environments.
• Proficiency in CAD tools and PLM systems.
• Strong DFM/DFA knowledge and leading design reviews.
• Excellent problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design, engineering, quality, and supply chain to enable smooth product introductions.
• Design, validate, and implement new manufacturing processes, tooling, and test fixtures.
• Work with contract manufacturers and suppliers to optimize production processes.
• Prepare BOMs, control plans, and work instructions; ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Lead DFM reviews, assess risks, and implement mitigation strategies throughout the lifecycle.
• Drive continuous improvement by analyzing production metrics and supporting the floor.
