Job summary

JPMorganChase in Plano, TX is seeking a Lead Software Engineer for .NET/SQL full-stack development within the Commercial & Investment Bank - Digital & Platform Services. You will contribute as a core technical member, delivering API-first services, web applications, and optimized SQL performance for the ACBS Loan Servicing platform and related CLS APIs.

The role emphasizes secure coding, high-quality production code, and leadership in AI-assisted development practices to improve delivery speed

Qualifications

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Strong backend development experience with C# (and/or VB.NET) including API and service development.
Demonstrated experience leading effective use of AI-assisted software development tools with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations.
Strong SQL skills with SQL Server T-SQL, relational data modeling experience, query optimization, and indexing.
Frontend/web development experience with ASP.NET, JavaScript, jQuery, and Ajax.
Experience working with relational databases including Microsoft SQL Server and exposure to Oracle.
Good understanding of the ACBS Loan Servicing platform, including servicing concepts, integration patterns, and operational considerations.
Experience supporting or delivering capabilities for CLS API and Servicing Portal, including building/enhancing APIs and web experiences used by servicing users and downstream consumers.

Responsibilities

Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches.
Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
Drives team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, while establishing validation standards and promoting reuse.
Applies knowledge of SDLC tools, including AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve value realized by automation.
Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architectural designs and applicability for existing systems.
