Job summary

As a hands-on leader, you guide technical decisions, drive AI-assisted development practices, and mentor teammates while delivering high-quality production code across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Strong OOP/design patterns understanding and clean code practices.
• Strong coding skills in Java and Springboot with solid fundamentals.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and validating AI outputs.
• Understanding of responsible AI use including data sensitivity, secure inputs/outputs, resiliency and security.
• Hands-on experience across system design, development, testing, and production support.
• Experience with low-latency/high-throughput systems.

Responsibilities

• Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
• Drives team adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools and automation capabilities to improve value.
• Drives decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations.
• Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus.
• Contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks and practices.
• Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider leading-edge technologies.
