Job summary

JPMorganChase in Plano, TX is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join the Commercial & Community Banking agile team. You will contribute as a core technical contributor, delivering trusted, scalable technology products with a focus on secure, high-quality production code.

You will lead adoption of AI-assisted development practices, coach engineers on secure and compliant delivery, and collaborate across vendors and internal teams to drive architecture decisions and operational stability.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Experience leading effective use of AI-assisted software development tools with validation of outputs.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.
• Proficiency in Java 17 features and multithreading.
• Experience with Spring Framework for SOAP/REST services and Spring Boot.
• AWS cloud experience and deploying cloud-native services.
• Experience with build and integration tools (JIRA, Maven, Git, Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket).
• Development using Agile methodologies and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative software solutions and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Lead adoption of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality, speed, and reliability.
• Leverage SDLC tools and automation to maximize value and efficiency.
• Write secure production code and review others' code for quality and security.
