Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join the Digital & Platform Services team responsible for the ACBS Loan Servicing, CLS API, and Servicing Portal. You will contribute to API-first services, web apps, and relational database performance within an agile environment.

The role emphasizes secure production code, AI-assisted tooling, and collaboration with vendors and internal teams to drive architecture and operational reliability across multiple platforms.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Strong backend development experience with C# (and/or VB.NET) including API and service development.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development tools and setting team expectations for AI outputs.
• Strong SQL skills and relational database knowledge (SQL Server, Oracle, SQL Server T-SQL).

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Develops secure and high-quality production code and reviews code.
• Drives AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, speed, and reliability.
• Applies SDLC tools and automation to improve value delivered by automation.
• Identifies opportunities to automate remediation and improve stability.
• Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and teams to assess designs and applicability.
