Job summary

GE Vernova in Wilmington, NC is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to assemble, repair, calibrate and troubleshoot a range of automated manufacturing and nuclear measurement systems. You will read schematics, operate test equipment and help ensure safe, reliable plant operation.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma with five years in maintenance or fabrication of related equipment.
• Tech school associate degree in electronics or equivalent training with three years relevant experience.
• Two years troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing industrial control equipment.
• Two years reading drawings, schematics and ladder logic; software/hardware troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, calibrate and perform preventative maintenance on automated systems.
• Read schematics, wiring diagrams, parts lists; interpret vendor manuals.
• Troubleshoot computer hardware, software and interface peripherals; modify software as needed.
• Use test equipment to diagnose hardware and software issues; document changes.
• Provide training and diagnostic assistance to team members as needed.
• Install new or modified equipment and update documentation.
• Generate equipment information and calibration procedures for auditable records.
• Coordinate with vendors and engineers to minimize downtime.
