Job summary

GE Vernova's Greenville Gas Turbine site is seeking a Quality Assurance Operator to perform nondestructive testing and in-process QA checks on assemblies and parts. You will read blueprints, operate gages, assist defect resolution, maintain accurate records, and contribute to safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires Level II NDT certification or enrollment within 6 months, plus 1 year in quality/manufacturing and the ability to lift 40 lbs with PPE.

Qualifications

• Must have Level II NDT certification or complete within 6 months.
• Minimum 1 year in a quality role or manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to read micrometers and calipers.
• Lift up to 40 lbs. and wear PPE as required.
• Successful completion of an assessment, background check and drug screen.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship).

Responsibilities

• Perform liquid penetrant inspections, magnetic particle inspections, and related nondestructive testing.
• Perform in-process and final quality checks of assemblies, tools, components, and parts.
• Assist the quality team with defect resolution and rework on non-conformances.
• Perform workstation audits as required.
• Maintain accurate records per standards.
• Operate material-moving equipment (e.g., forklifts, cranes).
• Contribute to problem solving and continuous improvement.
• Take ownership of safety, quality and productivity.
