Job summary

Woolpert seeks a licensed Municipal Engineer to join the Energy & Water Utilities Group in Pennsylvania. You will serve as a trusted technical leader for municipal and authority clients, guiding water, wastewater, stormwater, site/civil, transportation, and capital improvement programs.

The ideal candidate is a PA-licensed P.E. with 8+ years of experience, capable of plan reviews, public meeting attendance, project management, regulatory compliance, and construction administration.

Qualifications

• Active Pennsylvania Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• 8+ years of progressively responsible experience representing municipal and/or authority clients.
• Experience conducting plan reviews of proposed developments for compliance with ordinances and standards.
• Ability to attend public meetings and communicate engineering concepts to non-engineers.
• Experience overseeing multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of municipal design standards and permitting processes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead engineer and technical advisor for municipal and authority clients.
• Review development plans for compliance with laws, ordinances, and codes.
• Develop improvement cost opinions to protect clients from incomplete work.
• Attend public meetings to report on plan reviews and present proposals.
• Lead or assist in capital planning for water, wastewater, stormwater, site/civil, and transportation projects.
• Provide engineering oversight during bidding and construction phases.
• Mentor junior staff and promote technical excellence.
• Support business development, proposals, and client presentations.
