Job summary

The Construction Association of Michigan is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to own renovation and capital improvement projects for our multifamily portfolio. This full-time, in-person role is based in Troy, MI, with periodic travel to project sites across multiple states.

You will oversee contracting, purchasing, scheduling, budgeting, invoices, lien waivers, and documentation, guiding projects from RFP through close-out while keeping them on time and on budget.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in construction project management.
• Experience with contracting, purchasing, and close-out.
• Ability to read scopes, construction documents, and bids.
• Strong coordination with on-site teams, owners, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple concurrent renovation and capital improvement projects from scope development through completion.
• Develop RFPs, solicit vendor bids, and make award recommendations based on cost and quality.
• Create and manage contracts with contractors and vendors; build and maintain schedules and budgets; process pay applications and invoices.
• Collect lien waivers to ensure documentation and risk mitigation throughout each project.
• Coordinate with on-site property management teams, contractors, and ownership; communicate progress and issues.
• Maintain thorough project documentation and provide regular status updates and close-out reports.
