Job summary

SunRidge Management Group in Houma, LA is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician for a multifamily community. You will uphold the physical integrity of the property, ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained living environment, and proactively address issues to protect property value and resident satisfaction.

This on-site role requires leadership to train maintenance staff, manage service requests with 24-hour responsiveness when possible, schedule preventative maintenance, work with vendors,

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in multifamily property maintenance.
• Proven leadership and organizational skills with ability to manage staff and daily operations.
• Proficient in property management software (Such as OneSite and/or Yardi).
• Required CPO & HVAC certifications.
• Must be available to work 40 hours per week, including weekends; rotating on-call schedule.

Responsibilities

• Operational Oversight: maintain inventory, ensure safe conditions, label utilities, keep areas clean.
• Leadership & Training: mentor maintenance staff, conduct safety meetings, manage service requests, monitor budget.
• Maintenance Coordination: ensure timely work orders, schedule on-call rotations, coordinate with vendors, schedule preventive maintenance.
• Resident Relations: deliver strong customer service, respond to concerns, conduct move-in/move-out inspections, support retention.
• Compliance & Reporting: maintain records, report to corporate, ensure licensing and safety compliance.
