Job summary

CAF Management, LLC is seeking a Lead Maintenance Technician to oversee daily maintenance at our apartment communities on site in Texas. You will lead repairs, preventative maintenance, and service requests while mentoring the maintenance team to ensure high standards of safety and curb appeal.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of hands-on multifamily maintenance, strong HVAC/electrical knowledge, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in multifamily or related field.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, appliance repair, and carpentry.
• Ability to lead a team and work independently.
• Availability to work Saturdays (closed Sundays) and participate in on-call rotation.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform daily maintenance operations including service requests, unit turns, and inspections.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliance issues.
• Ensure the property meets safety, cleanliness, and curb appeal standards.
• Order and manage parts and supply inventory within budget.
• Train and support Assistant Maintenance Technicians.
• Coordinate vendor work and supervise contracted repairs.
• Participate in the on-call rotation and handle emergency maintenance situations.
• Communicate with the Property Manager to align maintenance efforts with community goals.
