Job summary

B.HOM Student Living is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our Des Moines community. This on-site role combines hands-on maintenance with supervision of the service team to keep the property safe, well-maintained, and operating efficiently.

You will oversee service requests, coordinate vendors, and manage turns and capital projects while ensuring quality work and cost-effective service delivery. This position reports to the General Manager and requires strong communication and organizational

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems.
• Experience supervising maintenance teams and coordinating multi-trade staff.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced property environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations and preventative maintenance.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance staff and grounds team.
• Manage vendor relationships, sourcing, bidding, and contract oversight.
• Plan and execute unit turns and capital projects with General Manager.
• Manage maintenance budgets and ensure safety compliance.
