Job summary

The Maintenance Supervisor at B.HOM Student Living in Urbana, IL is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the property's maintenance operations, safety, and service delivery. You will oversee service requests, coordinate preventive maintenance, and ensure high-quality work across trades.

You will lead maintenance staff and grounds, manage vendor relationships, participate in capital projects, and help plan turns and budgets while maintaining positive resident relations.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of maintenance systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.)
• Proven ability to supervise and lead maintenance teams
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day maintenance operations, including service requests and preventative maintenance
• Perform and assist with repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance systems
• Ensure timely completion of service requests and high-quality work standards
• Maintain the overall appearance and functionality of the property
• Supervise, train, and evaluate maintenance staff and grounds team
• Manage vendor relationships and oversee capital projects with the General Manager
• Plan unit turns and coordinate schedules during turn season
• Monitor costs and maintain maintenance budgets and compliance
