Job summary

HCA Florida Blake Hospital in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Lead Telemetry Technician to monitor cardiac rhythms continuously and alert the care team as needed.

You’ll mentor telemetry staff, train teammates on new tools, and help ensure patient safety through accurate rhythm interpretation and reliable monitoring.

• Mentor telemetry staff and lead training on new tools and processes.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies for records and logs.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring, interpreting, and documenting cardiac rhythms, and alerting nurses immediately to changes that may impact patient care
• Managing telemetry setup, lead placement, equipment upkeep, and inventory to ensure continuous, accurate monitoring
• Preparing and analyzing rhythm strips, updating logs, and maintaining patient monitoring records in line with hospital policies
• Guiding and mentoring telemetry staff by leading training, onboarding, and sharing updates on new tools or processes
• Enhancing patient safety by clearly communicating changes in rhythm, alarms, or signal issues

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Lead Telemetry Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality care by continuously monitoring cardiac rhythms and alerting the care team when action is needed. Your responsibilities will include:

• Monitoring, interpreting, and documenting cardiac rhythms, and alerting nurses immediately to changes that may impact patient care
• Managing telemetry setup, lead placement, equipment upkeep, and inventory to ensure continuous, accurate monitoring
• Preparing and analyzing rhythm strips, updating logs, and maintaining patient monitoring records in line with hospital policies
• Guiding and mentoring telemetry staff by leading training, onboarding, and sharing updates on new tools or processes

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• High School Graduate / GED
