Baxter is seeking a Principal Software Developer (Mobile) in Raleigh to lead the design, development, and evolution of Mercury mobile applications for iOS and Android using React Native. You will architect, implement secure voice calling, and integrate with real-time communications services, while ensuring HIPAA-aligned security across all mobile layers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; 5+ years software engineering, including mobile app development.
• Proven expertise with React Native and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience developing for iOS and Android and integrating with backend via REST APIs and real-time communication tech.

Responsabilités

• Lead architecture, development, and enhancement of mobile apps for iOS and Android using React Native.
• Design and implement secure voice calling across platforms.
• Integrate mobile apps with real-time communications services and backend systems via REST APIs, WebSockets, and SignalR.
• Apply HIPAA-aligned security practices for data handling, authentication, and notifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in Agile ceremonies (JIRA/Confluence).
• Mentor engineers and drive mobile engineering best practices.
