Job summary

Baxter is looking for a Principal Software Developer (Mobile) to lead the design and evolution of Mercury mobile applications for iOS and Android using React Native. You will implement secure voice calling and integrate with real-time communications services while coordinating with backend, web, UX, QA, cybersecurity, regulatory, and product stakeholders.

The role requires a BS in CS or Software Engineering and 5+ years of mobile development, with strong React Native and JavaScript/TypeScript

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline and 5+ years of professional software engineering experience including mobile app development.
• Experience with React Native and modern JavaScript/TypeScript development across iOS and Android.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, development, and enhancement of Mercury mobile apps using React Native for iOS and Android.
• Design and implement secure voice calling capabilities across platforms.
• Integrate mobile apps with real-time communications services (REST APIs, WebSockets, SignalR).
• Ensure parity and consistent UX across both mobile platforms while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
