Job summary

Baxter International is hiring a hands-on Principal Software Engineer (Mobile) to lead design, development, and evolution of Mercury mobile applications for iOS and Android using React Native. You will implement secure voice calling, real-time communications, and integration with backend services.

You will collaborate with backend, UX, QA, cybersecurity, regulatory, and product teams; participate in Agile ceremonies; and mentor engineers to raise mobile quality and reliability in a healthcare

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with substantial mobile development.
• Proficient with React Native and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience for iOS and Android platforms and REST APIs integration.
• Experience with real-time comms like VoIP/WebRTC and secure data handling.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, development, and enhancement of Mercury mobile apps (iOS/Android).
• Design and implement secure voice calling capabilities across platforms.
• Integrate mobile apps with real-time communications services.
• Ensure parity and consistent UX across devices.
• Mentor engineers and support production readiness.
