Job summary

Hourigan seeks an experienced Superintendent to lead all on-site activities, delivering projects on time and within budget. This role requires hands-on coordination with the Project Manager and subcontractors across the construction process.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Construction Management or related field with 5–7 years of experience in general contracting, strong verbal and written communication, and proficiency in Procore and Bluebeam; some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field position or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 5-7 years of experience, preferably in general contracting.
• Value collaboration with all team members.
• Experience leading a job-site team preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with construction management software; Procore and Bluebeam preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of commercial construction means and methods, LEED certifications, and industry practices.
• Operate with integrity and deliver exceptional results; some travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Manage all field activities for small and medium sized projects of normal complexity.
• Ensure subcontractors perform in quality and timeliness.
• Coordinate duties with the Project Manager and assist with schedule development.
• Manage start-up and close-out activities.
• Organize and maintain project contract documents regularly.
• Assist in preparing construction schedules with input from subcontractors.
• Manage the schedule to timely and successful completion.
• Coordinate final project budget with the Project Manager.
• Convene pre-construction and regular coordination meetings with subcontractors.
• Prepare and distribute daily reports, look-aheads, incident and safety reports, etc.
• Support safety and quality control procedures on-site.
