Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking a Lead role to manage daily crew activities, equipment operation, and production planning on construction projects. You will ensure safety, track progress, and communicate plans to crews under supervision.

The position requires strong leadership, effective communication, and the ability to coordinate schedules, materials, and costs while maintaining TIC's standards of quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with prior field experience.
• Thorough knowledge to perform all essential craft functions under supervision.
• Ability to plan tasks, train safety practices, policies and procedures.
• Understand scheduling, material control, estimating fundamentals, and job cost management systems.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions to craft workers and management.
• Must be a good communicator, motivator, and team player.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and organize people, equipment, tools and materials to promote safe, efficient and timely construction of the project.
• Ensure that construction equipment is correctly operated and maintained.
• Maintain accurate reporting records including job quantities, productivity rates, time sheets and daily management reports.
• May assist in developing a weekly schedule and in carrying out sequence of activities for assigned crew.
• Responsible for timely completion of work within estimated costs while maintaining quality workmanship.
• Responsible for the safety of those on the crew and will conduct operations according to safety rules.
• Develop and maintain crew attitude by conducting toolbox meetings and communicating safety concerns, work scope, plans and schedules to leadmen and crews.
• Monitor compliance by all employees under supervision with company policies.
