LEAD Public Schools is seeking an Art teacher to inspire and guide middle school students in Nashville. The role focuses on delivering standards-aligned art units, fostering creativity, and supporting students who need extra assistance.

You will collaborate with colleagues, participate in coaching cycles, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in a dynamic urban school setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years teaching experience preferred, but not required.
• Bachelor's degree is required; Tennessee art license with endorsement or transfer within 90 days, or on track to certification.
• Experience with diverse student populations or urban setting preferred.
• Passion for developing potential artists and improving classroom practice.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement rigorous unit plans and lessons with clear objectives and assessments.
• Participate in bi-weekly coaching meetings to internalize content, teaching moves, and classroom management.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams, content teams, and professional development throughout the school year.
• Execute school-based duties such as student conferences, arrival/dismissal, transitions, and lunch duty as assigned.
