Job summary

LEAD Public Schools in Nashville is seeking a High School English Language (ELA) Teacher to join our team and help students reach college readiness. You will design rigorous units, align with Tennessee standards, and collaborate with coaches and administration to improve instruction.

We value flexible, hard-working educators who support diverse learners, with at least two years of teaching experience and a Tennessee or transferable license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Must have Tennessee teaching license with English endorsement or transferable out-of-state license to Tennessee within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement rigorous unit plans and lessons aligned to standards and assessments.
• Participate in bi-weekly coaching meetings to improve content, teaching moves, and classroom management.
• Collaborate with grade-level teams, content teams, and PD throughout the year.
• Perform school-based duties including conferences, arrival/dismissal, transitions, lunch duty, and other assignments.
